Update:

For the benefit of all slipholders, a copy of the Wharf developer's transition plans with graphic depictions of the Phase II, PUD plan is now in the laundry room. Please feel free to look at but leave the books there for other slipholders to also be able to review. This is similar to what can be found on the Wharf website, but may be easier for some to access.

Data.gov

If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to take a look at data.gov when you get a chance. There is tons of great, easily accesible information. And even better yet, take a look at DC's Data Catalogue. You can follow crime report feeds, view info on current construction projects, and search for public space permits. And those are only a few of the many data feeds available.

If you have a little techincal know-how, you can take this info and make some great mash-ups. One example is Stumble Safely from Apps for Democracy. I'm sure that the idea behind making this data more easily accesible wasn't just to find the "safest" way home from the bar, so be sure to share your ideas with others regarding how we can better use this info to benefit everyone in the District!
